Jennifer Schroeder
Jennifer Schroeder spent more than twenty years in corporate America. She ran operations departments, built training programs, and rolled out payroll systems. She was good at it, and it still ended. She was pushed out before she was ready, and she'll tell you she didn't handle it well. She sent out hundreds of applications. Most got no answer. In one interview a man looked at her and told her she was obsolete. She took that word and named her company after it.
While she figured out what was next, she got licensed as an esthetician and did facials to pay the bills. She also started making videos about what really goes on at work. Within a year, more than 600,000 people were following her. Now she helps people over 50 who got shown the door build a life that doesn't depend on a job.
When she isn't working, she's hunting for rocks, photographing wildlife, or traveling somewhere she hasn't been yet. She lives in Bluffton, South Carolina, with her husband Mike and five pets, and she has two grown kids.
